What To Expect

WHAT TO EXPECT

We know that coming into Church the first time might feel a bit daunting so we would like to give you an idea of what to expect - in addition to a warm welcome!

Sunday Services

We have three services on a Sunday

Communion Service - a more traditional quiet time of worship, primarily intended for those who already have a Christian faith.

All Age Service - an upbeat service with more lively worship, suitable for all ages and backgrounds, with Sunday Club and a Creche.

Evening Service - a shorter time of worship followed by a time of Bible Teaching.

Why do we meet together?

As Christians, we believe that we should worship God and that He is worthy of our worship, so we meet to worship Him. We also meet to learn and grow as a Church. We also believe that we should be imitators of God, "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us" Ephesians 5:1,2 (NIV)

So, what happens??

Coming to Church can raise many questions; What to wear? Do I need to bring anything? How will I know what to do?

What to wear? Anything you like!! It doesn't matter what you wear to Church, so long as you are comfortable. Some people will be wearing jeans and a T-Shirt others may be dressed more formally, so just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Do I need to bring anything? No... there is no need to bring anything with you, feel free to bring a Bible if you have one and you want to, but other than that nothing else is necessary.

How will I know what to do? We'll tell you!! When you arrive there will be people at the door to welcome you, and to point you in the right direction, either to a seat or for a cup of tea or coffee. During the service the congregation may be invited to stand or sit to sing, but this will be clearly explained from the front. And, you can sit all the time if you want and don't have to sing at all!
